Many Murano drivers complain of a warning message that states "Front radar unavailable due to obstruction," followed by the immediate disablement of their adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking system.

. Fourteen drivers also complained about their vehicle’s speed control, and four drivers reported problems with the 2017 Murano’s forward collision avoidance function—all of which circle back to the car’s electrical system.
Other common issues with the 2017 Murano include:

The 2017 Nissan Murano has received three formal recalls for the same reason—a possible brake fluid leak into the anti-lock brake system (ABS) pump. This frightening issue could result in an electrical short, which increases the likelihood of a vehicle fire.
2017 Nissan Murano reliability ratings
Despite these troubling electrical failures, the 2017 Nissan Murano has average to above-average reliability scores for a midsize SUV. Of course, it all depends on who you ask.
RepairPal, for example, gave the 2017 Murano an above-average score of 3.5/5.0 for reliability—but only ranks the model #20 out of 26 vehicles in its class, which doesn’t exactly scream “above-average.”
On the other hand, J.D. Power gives the 2017 Murano an average rating of 80/100 for quality and reliability, but also assigns it the #4 slot in their midsize SUV segment.
