Honestly, the Nissan Sentra is so practical that it does not stand out from the competition. In fact, some car experts might describe the compact sedan as a snooze compared to the performance power of compact rivals like the 2011 Honda Civic

. But considering Nissan created two performance versions of the Sentra, I think we can let it slide. While the SE-R model provides many of the same offerings as the highest SR and SL trim levels, like standard 17-inch alloy wheels, the SE-R Spec V further enhances the sportiness of the SE-R with high-performance tires, a firmer suspension, larger front brakes, and lower ground clearance for more control.

The main difference between the regular Sentras versus the Special Editions has to do with engine performance. While both Special Edition trims provide ample power, the highest SL trim offers many of the same interior upgrades for a lower price.
