Praised for its spacious seating and wide array of tech and entertainment, the 2010 Acura MDX doesn’t hold out on its interior offerings.
Despite the controversial corporate grille added to its exterior, the 2010 Acura MDX was an impressive model year for this luxury crossover SUV—especially when it comes to interior quality. But does the 2010 MDX have the technology features, seating comfort, and cargo volume to stand out against competitors, like the Lexus RX 350?

2010 Acura MDX interior

The 2010 Acura MDX’s original MSRP started around $40,000 and went as high as $55,000 depending on what package you went with. Today, you can typically find a used 2010 Acura MDX for between $9,000 and $20,000 depending on the vehicle’s condition, package upgrades, and location.
You can get five packages (Acura’s
“trims”
) for the 2010 MDX: the base model,
Technology
, Technology with Entertainment,
Advance
, and Advance with Entertainment. Each package offers different interior highlights while sharing most of the same standard interior features—let’s break it down.

Seating

The 2010 Acura MDX fits up to seven passengers in its three rows of seating. While its first and second rows are both spacious and comfortable for adult passengers (short and tall), its third row can get a little cramped for anyone who isn’t a child.
Some of the finer qualities, like premium Milano leather seats and front seat cooling and ventilation, are only available in the Technology or Advance packages. However, there are still plenty of luxury features that come standard, such as:
  • Tri-zone automatic climate control
  • Heated eight-way power front seats
  • A power tilt-and-telescoping steering column
  • Bucket-shaped back row seating
In addition to its comfortable passenger seating, the 2010 MDX’s second row split-folds 60/40 and its third row split-folds 50/50 to open up extra storage in the back. Here are some dimensions to give you an idea of the MDX’s space distribution:

Tech

The 2010 Acura MDX excels in the sheer quantity of high-tech features offered even in standard models. There are almost too many features available, which has led some drivers to find the dashboard control layout confusing and overly complicated.
Here’s just a small taste of the 2010 Acura MDX’s interior technology:
  • Bluetooth connectivity
  • iPod adapter and satellite radio
  • Acura Premium eight-speaker Sound System with AM/FM tuner and subwoofer
  • Aux jack connectivity and six-disc CD changer
  • HomeLink® remote control
  • Multi-information Display
  • AcuraLink Real-Time Weather™ and Traffic™ display (Advance and Technology package)
  • Acura Navigation System with Voice Recognition™ (Advance and Technology package)
  • Song By Voice® system (Advance and Technology package)
  • Rear Entertainment System (Advance and Technology package with Entertainment)
  • 115-volt power outlet (Advance and Technology package with Entertainment)
On top of the 2010 MDX’s entertainment offerings, standard technology also includes safety features like an integrated rearview video screen and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. Upgrading to the Advance package can also get you blind spot monitoring and a collision mitigating brake system

Storage

With all three rows of seating in use, the 2010 Acura MDX has 15.0 cubic feet of cargo volume, which increases to 43.9 cubic feet with the third row folded. The maximum cargo volume with both back rows folded is a whopping 83.5 cubic feet
The 2010 MDX’s total cargo volume is above average for a midsize luxury crossover. Similar models like the 2010 Lexus RX 350 and the 2010
Volkswagen Touareg
only come in at 80.3 and 71.0 cubic feet of total cargo volume respectively.

Style

There is certainly an element of luxury in the 2010 Acura MDX’s interior styling. Standard models feature simulated Koa wood-grained interior trim, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gearshift knob, and leather seating.
The floor is soft and padded with loop pile carpet mats and a large, power tilt and slide moonroof up top to let in some air or gaze up at stars or skyscrapers.
Upgrading to the Technology package replaces the standard leather seating with premium Milano leather. Meanwhile, the Advance package throws in a three-spoke sport-style steering wheel and perforated Milano leather seating with high-damping front-seat cushion foam and contrast French-seaming.
No matter which package you choose, your 2010 Acura MDX practically guarantees a stylish ride.

This app is great, but the customer service is even better! Not to mention convenient! My husband and I got the lowest rate (much lower than the rates I was finding online through my own searches), quickly, and pretty much all through text message! Thank you so much for a hassle free experience👍
