Sporty options for an AWD EV

Fast and attractive, the 2022 Porsche Taycan comes in six trim levels. The first all-electric vehicle for the German automaker, the Taycan has sensational driving dynamics and recharges at a rapid rate.
According to
TrueCar
, “While it may lack the bladder-busting range of some EVs, it makes up for it with a driving experience that few can match.” The popular 4S AWD starts at $105,150.
The 2021 Polestar 2 is an AWD electric sports sedan with lots of safety technology. If you’re looking for an all-electric powertrain and all-wheel drive, the Launch Edition Fastback is the Polestar 2 model you’ll want to get.
The five-seat hatchback is powerful, sporty, and well-manned. Polestar even calls it a “fastback.” While the Polestar 2’s range is subpar, and the interior space is lacking, there are plenty of safety and driver-assist features. The auto comes with a 265-mile range and starts at $45,900.
The 2022 Audi RS e-tron GT quattro has a gorgeous exterior, plush cabin, and breathtaking acceleration. Though it has less driving range than competitors like the Tesla Model S or the Lucid Air, it doesn’t disappoint in the performance department. We’re looking at 560 hp with 612 lb-ft of torque and electric motor output of 475.0 kW.

The best electric SUVs with AWD

A new addition to the SUV market, the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E is known for its agile handling and super quiet powertrain. The efficient five-seater comes in four trim levels. Most drivers prefer the GT AWD which starts at around $63,000.
With a muscular design, the vehicle offers plenty of cargo room and a spacious rear seat. When you opt for the all-wheel-drive model, you’ll get a 270-mile range and eligibility for federal EV tax credits. Models go from $42,895 to $59,900.
The 2022 Jaguar I-PACE is a great alternative if you don’t see yourself driving a Tesla. The five-seat compact SUV starts at $71,050. It can crank out 394 hp using a 90-kilowatt battery with electric motors.
The I-PACE is roomy, quiet, and comfortable with features like a Heads-Up Display (HUD) and front cooled seats.
The 2022 Hyundai IONIQ 5 is an awesome all-around EV. The five-seater is available in three trim levels and starts just under $45,000. The compact family crossover features a roomy cabin with a premium feel.
According to TrueCar, the IONIQ 5 “is proof that Hyundai is quite capable of building a world-class electric vehicle, with loads of driver-assist and safety tech, a near-luxury cabin, a smooth ride, and responsive handling.”

Now let’s talk Tesla

The
2021 Tesla Model 3
isn’t standard with all-wheel drive. The 2021 AWD model starts at $49,990. Drivers will also receive Tesla’s over-the-air updates, around view camera, and basic autopilot. The four-door sedan incorporates innovative technology and features an awesome range of 353 miles per charge.
For midsize SUV lovers, the 2022 Tesla Model X is one of the quicked SUVs you can buy. The six-seater comes in two trim levels, the Plaid being the most popular.
All-wheel drive comes standard on both trims and offers a range of around 360 miles. You’ll also get many of the luxuries we’d expect like a 17-inch touchscreen display, front/rear-heated seats, and tri-zone temperature controls.
It’s practical, fun to drive, and a top choice for utility and performance. However, the Model X is not cheap, starting at around $100,000.
Coming in at the top of our list is the 2022 TeslaModel Y.  The luxury SUV is sleek and impresses with powerful performance and a class-leading electric driving range. The five-seater comes in two trim levels and its infotainment system is one of the best in the biz.
According to
MotorBiscuit
, the vehicle “features a high-tech cabin and a slew of other great features, including an expansive glass roof and a 15-inch touchscreen display.”
The EV is similar to the Model 3, but with much more trunk space. Acceleration is insanely quick, and drivers appreciate the minimalist, spacious and comfortable cabin.
The Model Y is fun to drive and versatile for families (even if the third-row seat is tiny). With a starting range of $53,990, the SUV comes with an electric powertrain that can last up to 326 miles. You can charge the Model Y at a public charging station or at home.
