The true titans usually are made by Ford, Chevy, and Ram, with their trucks selling more a month than Nissan
does for its truck, the Titan, in a year according to Kelly Blue Book
. Like the Titans of Greek mythology, it seems Nissan is about ready to say goodbye to their full-sized truck, locking it away in Tartarus in a few years.
The Nissan Titan’s 2023 model
While Nissan’s Titan might not be winning popularity contests with consumers, it still has a lot to offer ahead of its class. Most notably are the warranty and safety.
Nissan offers a 5-year or 100,000-mile warranty which is longer than any other truck on the market. This includes basic and powertrain coverage.

Nissan introduced their midnight edition vehicles in 2013 with their Midnight edition Nissan Juke. Then they expanded it to more of their vehicles in 2016. Every year they offer Midnight editions of their vehicles, and in 2023, the Nissan Titan will also have this option.
For the Nissan Titan Crew Cab SV trim, the “aggressive” midnight look will be available. This includes a black interior with A-pillar upholstery and a black headliner, a black exterior with a black glossy front grille, black badges on the tailgate, and black 20-inch wheels.
The Titan’s future exile to Tartarus and pricing
In 2021 Nissan sold less than 28,000 Titan trucks. The truck powerhouses like Chevy’s Silverado
sell that many in a month, leading to Automotive New’s report
that Nissan is considering retiring the Titan. According to the report, Nissan doesn’t plan to redesign the Titan, and it could be leaving Nissan’s lineup in either 2024 or 2025.
Normally when vehicles are on their way out, it’s arguably a good time for consumers. While the parts in the future might no longer be available, it means the vehicles are generally cheaper.
However, this isn't the case for the 2023 Nissan Titan.
Due to microchip shortages and higher demand for new vehicles, the price for the 2023 Titan starts at 39,700, according to Nissan. That’s a $1,790 increase from the 2022model, not including the nearly $2,000 delivery fee.
No matter the trim, the 2023 Titans are expected to be $1,800 or more expensive than their 2022 counterparts.
