With the power to handle off-road conditions and high-end style, the G-Wagon is a true status symbol. For drivers who want something even more over-the-top, though, German company Brabus has a special Mercedes G-Wagon.
According to
CarBuzz
, Brabus has taken a G-Wagon and turned it into something entirely new known as the 800 Adventure XLP Superblack.
This modified G-Wagon takes the power of the Mercedes to a new level, and it is gorgeous to look at. However, the Brabus version of the G-Wagon comes at an extravagant price.

Who is Brabus?

Before getting into the specifics of the modified version of the G-Wagon, it is important to have a brief overview of the company behind it.
Brabus is a manufacturer that focuses on aftermarket modifications of other vehicles, similar to how Shelby modifies Fords. Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts may be familiar with the name, as Brabus specializes in their performance modifications of Mercedes vehicles.
Brabus has been in business since 1977, and while they are not owned by Mercedes-Benz, their work focuses on Mercedes cars.
They are a German-based company, but their cars can be found all over the world. Their Mercedes modifications are known for enhanced power and Brabus' signature black paint scheme.
According to
Brabus
, they also work to restore classic Mercedes-Benz vehicles as well.

Now that we know a bit about Brabus, it's time to get into their version of the Mercedes G-Wagon. The 800 Adventure XLP Superblack began as a standard Mercedes-AMG G63, but Brabus worked to enhance out outside in and in. While some G-Wagons are SUVs, this particular G-Wagon is a pickup truck.
Brabus gave the G-Wagon a major boost in power, as the 800 Adventure XLP Superblack is powered by a 788-horsepower twin-turbo V8 engine. It can reach a speed of 130 miles per hour. Theoretically, it could go faster, but Brabus engineered it to have a max speed limit.
Of course, Brabus also considered that drivers might want to take the Mercedes G-Wagon off-road. To accommodate this, the modified G-Wagon has improved suspension. The Brabus G-Wagon also has a wheelbase that is 19.7 inches longer than the standard Mercedes.

In terms of the upgraded Mercedes' inside, all seats are covered in leather, giving the car an appropriately luxurious feeling. The stitching on the seats has a pattern that gives off the appearance that each passenger is on a throne.
Of course, passengers also get to ride in comfort due to the vehicle's ample space. The longer wheelbase ensures that rear passengers get plenty of room.
Now, a vehicle this luxurious obviously comes with a price. For context, a standard Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG costs $156,450. The Brabus model costs several times more at $822,000, making it a status symbol that only a few will be able to drive.
