Bugatti revealed that it will be producing a limited-production model called Centodieci in the summer of 2019 at the Concours d' Elegance. Unfortunately, COVID-19 led to delays in the production of the Centodieci.
However, the brand released the prototype in early 2021 and has been undergoing rigorous tests. Bugatti has now announced that the model will go into production in 2022. Here are all the details of this awesome
supercar
.

Bugatti Centodieci engine specs

The Bugatti Centodieci was created with inspiration from the 1990 EB110 supercar.  Although its body looks more like the EB110 than the Chiron, it still has a few features of the Chiron brand.
According to
Luxury Launches
, the Bugatti Centodieci comes with a quad-turbo W16 engine that has a displacement of eight liters and a whopping 1577 horsepower. The Centodieci can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 2.4 seconds, and the top speed is limited to 236 mph. It can also accelerate from zero to 186 mph in 13.1 seconds and from rest to 124 mph in 6.1 seconds.
Motor Authority
states that the horsepower is 97 more than that of the
Chiron
, but its maximum speed is much lower. Bugatti has announced that there will only be ten models produced, with one of them going to Cristiano Ronaldo.
Some of the features that have been picked from the EB110 include the all-wheel-drive system, a carbon-fiber monocoque, and the four turbochargers.

How far has the Bugatti Centodieci been tested?

According to
Bugatti
, the prototype has completed over 50,000 kilometers of testing in Puglia, Southern Italy. The Centodieci covered at least 745 miles each day at the Nardo Circuit, which is 3.9 miles long.
During each of the tests, it was checked for performance and tire issues and logged in any minor anomalies in the vehicle.
The Bugatti Centodieci has been driven on dry and wet surfaces to check the handling, acceleration, braking, cornering, and safety systems. After each round, the Bugatti engineers check engine data to determine the best settings for the vehicle and what issues need to be investigated.
The carmaker has been conducting similar tests on all its models for the 100 years it has been in business.

The price and debut date of the Bugatti Centodieci

The limited-production Bugatti Centodieci is expected to sell for $ 8.9 million. The automaker expects to produce all the cars at its Molsheim, France, plant by the end of the year. Therefore, it is likely that the first model will be unveiled by the end of July.
Given that only ten models will be available for purchase, it is expected that the supercar’s price will rise once one of the lucky buyers decides to sell it. The automaker is known for several limited-production models that have fetched prices several times the original buying price.
