There are three trims for the 2006 Corvette: coupe, convertible, and ZO6. As explained by Edmunds
, its base trim and convertible come with a 400 hp L2S-2 V8 engine that is mated with a six-speed manual transmission. However, the Z06 comes with a seven-liter V8 engine that provides 505 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. Car owners get an optional six-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission. There are three suspension levels available, which include the Z51 Package, Magnetic Ride Control, and an upgraded braking system. The Z51 Performance package is meant to enable better handling on the track, while the Magnetic Ride Control is great for people who want to use the vehicle for touring.
Users were also given a chance to opt for a six-speed automatic transmission that they could shift manually with levers placed on the steering column. A combination of these revisions makes the vehicle run faster and better in handling.
The 2006 Corvette's design and exterior
The coupe comes with a standard one-piece removable roof, while the convertible has a soft roof. Both are awesome at high-speed, hair-in-air cruising. Both also come with xenon headlamps. The vehicle is sculpted like a muscle car with bold lines, a smaller grille, and signature headlights.
In addition, the back is blockier and more angular than the C5, with a lower body platform for enhanced aerodynamics like the 70's vehicles. However, the Z06 has a raised rear end, making it look more muscular. This awesome look is enhanced by a wonderful choice of colors, ranging from baby yellow to Parliament blue.
