Hyundai Kona
combines everything you might want in an everyday car with the elevated and stylish driving experience commuters crave. The Kona stands out for its wallet-friendly price point and a solid list of standard features sure to satisfy.
Hyundai's Kona was recognized by U.S. News as the winner of its 2022 Best Subcompact SUV for the Money. Its superb gas mileage estimates and overall great value in its class raise it above its competitors.

What to expect from the Hyundai Kona overall

The 2022 Hyundai Kona's city road dimensions and sharp looks already make it an appealing option. It offers a choice of four trim levels, a growing roster of available features, and recently upgraded technology. There is little not to like in this small SUV.
Hyundai redesigned and improved the Kona for the 2022 model year. The refreshed exterior includes updated lighting elements, a wide-mouth-grille, and reimagined wheel designs, according to
Car and Driver
. It also introduced two new performance trims, the N-Line and N, which include powerful turbocharged engines.
Further perks include one of the best warranties in the industry. It outshines competitors with a five-year/60,000-mile warranty. The powertrain is covered by a 10-year/100,000-mile warranty. It doesn't get much better than that.

What has been done to upgrade the Kona's interior?

The Hyundai designers made sure the Kona's interior maintained the same high-quality style drivers expect from the SUV. What it lacks in cargo space, it makes up for with top-of-the-line comfort and convenience.
It offers spacious front seats and seating for up to five people with good ergonomics.
U.S. News
notes that the rear seats provide a tighter space for average adults.
But perhaps most impressive is the technology. The 8-inch infotainment touchscreen is easily accessible on the center stack. Two convenient USB ports, a six-speaker stereo,
Apple CarPlay
, and Android Auto capability come standard. There is also the option to upgrade to a 10.25-inch touchscreen if preferred.
Other available infotainment features include Hyundai's Blue Link telematics system, HD Radio, and an eight-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system. Remote keyless entry remains standard. Drivers can also choose to add satellite radio or push-button start.

One of the best things about the 2022 Hyundai Kona's standard engine is its gas mileage. The EPA estimate of 30 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway is superb for a subcompact SUV of its kind. The
all-wheel-drive option
slightly reduces those estimates.
Kona's SE and SEL trims are ideal for everyday commuting. They offer a 147-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and a comfortable, no-nonsense ride. The Limited and N-Line trims provide a little more pep and quicker acceleration with 195-horsepower and a more desirable 1.6-liter four-cylinder.
The Kona is an agile ride, navigating even rougher roads with ease. Hyundai's Kona N is a more powerful choice for those who want some zip. It comes with a 280-horsepower 2.0-liter engine. Together with its eight-speed, dual-clutch transmission, this Kona can reach a top speed of 150 mph. Hyundai says it can take the car from 0 to 60 mph in just 5 seconds.
