Toyota
has been improving a lot of its fun sports cars lately with the help of their team at Gazoo Racing. The Toyota Supra, discontinued after huge notoriety in the ‘90s, was recently revamped for its fifth generation in 2019.
According to
Car and Driver
, three additional Toyota concepts were just revealed at the Tokyo Auto Show. There's a souped-up version of the humdrum Yaris, an electric crossover, and even a new racecar. What will each one of these vehicles bring to the table?

The new Toyota GRMN Yaris

Both the Toyota Yaris sedan and its hatchback variant were available in the U.S. until 2020. While it was very affordable and had incredible gas mileage, it failed to make much of an impact on consumers. This was probably due to its weak engine and overall performance, plus its cheap interior materials.
However, the Toyota GR Yaris available in international markets is a much more desirable alternative. This hot hatch is powered by a turbo-three engine that produces 257 horsepower, paired with AWD. Sport Mode is standard to send power to the front wheels, and a Gazoo Racing suspension is also included.
A mere 500 units of the Toyota Yaris GRMN are planned for production, available exclusively for the Japanese market.
MotorTrend
reports that this vehicle has two seats instead of four, sporting both a carbon-fiber roof and rear spoiler. This considerable weight reduction, combined with an enhanced transmission and limited-slip differential, will make it an even more thrilling daily driver.

What's in store for the new Toyota bZ4X?

Thanks to
Car and Driver
, we already knew that the 2023 Toyota bZ4X is supposed to reach showrooms sometime this year. With available AWD, this electrified crossover will have two electric motors and a total output of 215 horsepower. Toyota also says this is the fastest model available, with a 0-60 mph time of 7.7 seconds.
FWD models only have one electric motor, but 201 horsepower is still plenty for the average driver. This one will be more efficient than the AWD variant with a reported 250 miles of range.
It's a conservative EV, but Toyota teased a sporty GR concept at the Tokyo Auto Show. This one features sports seats and bigger wheels, though Toyota didn't give us any clues about what powertrain upgrades it might have.

What does the Toyota GR GT3 mean for the racing segment?

Even for Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR), the Toyota GR G3 has one of the automaker's most dynamic designs yet. It has a huge carbon-fiber wing at the back, complemented by a menacing diffuser and stylish vents below the taillights. Work your way around to the front and you'll see a cool front fascia with an exaggerated front splitter.
According to TGR, the concept will continue to be updated for an eventual release on the racetrack. We don't know how much power it would have, but the exhaust pipe at the front suggests an internal-combustion setup. The wheels come with beefy Bridgestone tires, and it sports the same suspension as the GR Yaris.

Which of these cars would have the best auto insurance?

As of now, the only one of these Toyotas available for U.S. buyers is the bZ4X (albeit in the non-racing variety). However, there's always the chance that we could see a production variant of the GR version in the future.
