The ProDrive Hunter: An Off-Road Hyper Car

The ProDrive Hunter is the first hypercar that’s also an off-roading vehicle, but with a luxury price tag don’t expect a luxury interior.

Hypercars
have mostly been designed for high speeds on racetracks or other roads. Hypercars like the
Aston Martin Valkyrie
are absolute beasts in terms of speed and horsepower, but they are not meant to be off-road.
The ProDrive Hunter is changing the perception of what a hypercar can be by being an off-road monster.
According to
Autoblog
, the ProDrive Hunter was designed to be the world's first hypercar that could drive on all terrains. It has one of the most over-the-top designs of any car ever produced, and it comes with an equally over-the-top price tag.
However, for the right driver in the right situation, the ProDrive Hunter could be the perfect vehicle.

Why does the ProDrive Hunter exist?

At first glance, the ProDrive Hunter is simply ridiculous. It looks like a bizarre hybrid of a Warthog from Halo and a Porsche 911, and this could lead some to wonder what it was even designed for. It was created with a clear vision, though, and that was to be a performance car that could go anywhere.
Most of the world is not covered in nicely paved asphalt. This means that if hypercar drivers want to see the desert or anywhere that isn't a standard road, they would be out of luck.
Exploring off-road requires an all-terrain vehicle, but these vehicles typically lack the performance that supercars or hypercars have.
The ProDrive Hunter gives drivers performance typically reserved for the track as well as versatility for driving off-road. It's a car that is designed to truly be driven anywhere, from city streets to remote deserts.

Specs of the off-road hypercar

Under the hood, the ProDrive Hunter is powered by a six-cylinder, twin-turbocharged engine that makes 592 horsepower.
When driving on a track, the Hunter can get from 0 to 62 in less than four seconds. It could reach a maximum speed of about 180 mph, making it a viable competitor for other hypercars.
However, these speeds are only relevant to how the ProDrive Hunter would handle on a road. The Hunter is meant to be taken off-road, and it has the features to make it effective there too.
Suspension is at the center of the ProDrive Hunter's design, and it features adjustable dampers to meet different challenges a driver might face. Its off-road tires come standard at 35 inches, and Brembo brakes also improve the off-road experience of the Hunter.

The ProDrive Hunter has a simple interior and a luxury price

With its emphasis on off-road performance, the ProDrive Hunter is a truly unique hypercar. If a driver wants to claim the on and off-road power of the Hunter, though, they'll have to pay $1.63 million.
This MSRP represents the performance features of the Hunter, but it does not necessarily translate to luxury comfort.
Its interior sports safety harnesses keep drivers and passengers secure while adventuring, but don't expect infotainment or other luxury features. Autoblog does note that images of the ProDrive Hunter indicate that it will likely have air conditioning, though.

Car insurance doesn't have to be as expensive as the ProDrive Hunter

While the price of the ProDrive Hunter may be absurdly expensive for most drivers, it is still likely the perfect vehicle for the right driver. Unlike the ProDrive Hunter, your car insurance does not have to be shockingly expensive.
