Mercedes-Benz
makes a lot of high-quality luxury cars, and the German automaker is loath to cut corners. That much was proven with the
EQG
—Mercedes' concept G-Wagen EV, and it's equipped with a lot of fancy features.
And it’s continued with the 2022 Mercedes E450, a car that pushes the boundaries of luxury hybrid performance. Here's a look at the Mercedes E450 and all of its advanced features.

The Mercedes E450 has a powerful engine

Driving around in a Mercedes is one of the best parts of owning one, and the E450 certainly has a speedy engine.
Car and Driver
lauded its 3.0-liter, turbocharged I-6 engine that's also a mild hybrid. The engine also has a 48-volt hybrid system that can also act as an electric supercharger.
And the results of the engine are impressive, too. It gets 362 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, enough to send the E450 from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.7 seconds.
But the powerful engine doesn’t mean there are sacrifices elsewhere. In fact, Mercedes has prioritized comfort over sportiness with the E450. It can handle a corner well, and its ride quality is very smooth. Buyers who want an even smoother ride can get an optional air suspension upgrade for the car.
The E450 also comes with all-wheel drive as standard, and its engine is quite fuel-efficient. It gets about 23 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on highways.

What features are on the Mercedes E450?

The E450's interior, though, is where it truly shines. The front seats are heated, all seats are very comfortable, and the overall design is high-class. A massage function is also available.
In terms of tech, the E450 comes with a 12.3-inch horizontal touch screen, as well as a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster display. There are also standard smart safety features, such as automated emergency braking and blind-spot monitoring.
While the E450 won't be able to carry as much cargo as a Chevy Suburban, it can actually carry quite a bit of stuff. The trunk has 10 cubic feet of cargo capacity, and folks can fold down the rear seats to get more space.

The standard E-Class is the E350, and it starts at about $56,000. For the E450, you’ll have to pay an extra $8,000, but not without reason.
The E350 is rear-wheel drive as standard, and its engine is also much smaller and weaker than the E450's. It has a 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine that gets 255 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque.
There are also discrepancies in fuel efficiency. In fact, if you’re driving around town, the E450 might be a marginally better investment, getting an extra mpg in the city.
Car insurance doesn't have to be expensive
Mercedes spared no expense with the E450, but that doesn't mean that you have to spend a lot of money on your car insurance.
