300 ZX Twin-Turbo to that list and you’ve got a complete picture. The Japanese-made 300 ZX was a monster of a sports car at the time; power, looks, and handling were all packaged at a reasonable price. Technically dropped in 1989, this car would help define the market for years to come.

, in 1983 Nissan rolled out the first generation of the 300ZX, Z31, and sold 330,000 units in mainly foreign markets
over an impressive six-year run. The car was Blade Runner cool with good power (especially for the time). Its 3.0-liter turbo V-6 packed 229 horsepower with 240 pound-feet of torque. While mostly sold in foreign markets, it paved the way for better things to come.

The second generation Nissan 300ZX, Z32, contained a more impressive engine, a redesigned, aero exterior, and several customizable options. While only releasing 164,000 units, it was a true JDM sports car that left a mark on the competition all the same.
What’s under the hood of the ZX Twin-Turbo?
There were two power options available for the Z32, both contained a 3.0-liter turbo V-6 with variable valve timing and dual overhead cams. The more amped version; however, came with two turbos and dual intercoolers aka The Twin Turbo.
The total power output for the Twin-Turbo was 300 horsepower and 283 pound-feet of torque, achieving 0-60 mph in 5.6 seconds and a top-end speed of 155 mph. Several tests claimed it could hit 60 mph in closer to 5 seconds. It was paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic.
All about the handling dynamics
While that power output might not seem like much to today's driver, it was considered aggressive for the time. Even more aggressive was the incredible handling that the ZX Twin Turbo came with.
Coming with four-wheel steering in a rear-wheel drive format, the Z32 could take corners with the best of them.
Add its shocking lightweight and incredibly precise steering and, at the time, you’re legitimately mentioning this car in the same breath as a Porsche, no exaggeration.

The design
Inside and out the 300 ZX was an impressive-looking car for its time. Its rectangular headlights and sloping nose coupled with the rear wing and dual exhaust gave it a look of muscley power combined with elegance.
Seated on comfortable materials, the driver's cockpit was built for comfort and approach. Whoever said that a sports car had to lack a touch of luxurious comfort?
