Many of us attend Fourth of July parades, but few of us get the opportunity to participate in them. But that doesn't mean that we can't enjoy decorating our cars in honor of Independence Day. If you're looking for some Fourth of July inspiration for
decorating your car
, we've got some suggestions for you.

Don't forget Old Glory in your Fourth of July car decorations

Christmas isn't the only holiday you can dress your car up for. The Fourth of July provides some fun opportunities in this arena as well.
Whatever you decide to do to spruce up your car for the Fourth of July, you'll want to make sure you've got at least a flag or two on display. These don't need to be real flags, mind you, although they certainly could be.
Window clip flags are often a popular option for those wanting to celebrate their nation's birthday. These small flags show your festive and patriotic spirit in a low-key way.
Another way to display Old Glory on your car is with an American flag car magnet--or several. What's great about this option is that the flags won't fray, and they're sure not to fall off accidentally.

Add other splashes of color and fun

Even if you're not involved in an event as elaborate as the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, there's still a lot you can do with your car to celebrate Independence Day.
If you're looking for something creative and colorful, an homage to Fourth of July fireworks makes for a fun way to decorate your vehicle. Fireworks car decals can be a great way to add a splash of patriotic color to your ride.
You can also add touches of red, white, and blue elsewhere on your car. Perhaps you'd enjoy a temporary patriotic license plate holder. Or maybe some red, white, and blue streamers looped around your car's antenna would be more your style.
And then, of course, there's Uncle Sam. A decal of Uncle Sam waving from your rear window is sure to brighten other drivers' days.

So far we've mainly been thinking about ways to decorate your car's exterior, which is great for entertaining other drivers--but what if you want to enjoy your decorations yourself? That's when it's time to tackle your car's interior.
One relatively easy way to bring the red, white, and blue to you is to wrap some patriotically colored ribbons around your steering wheel. You'll be feeling in the holiday mood every time you're in the driver's seat.
An Uncle Sam bobblehead on your dashboard can be a fun way to honor the spirit of Independence Day. Or perhaps you'd like to go all out and have an inflatable Uncle Sam in your back seat to entertain both you and your fellow drivers.
Balloons also make for an easy way to decorate your car. Tape a few on the back of the seats, for example. Just make sure they're well-secured and not obstructing your view, so that they don't end up creating a hazard.
