, Consumer Reports' list of the most reliable vehicles of 2022 recently came out, and Toyota dominates it. The most reliable car of the year was the Lexus GX, which had a perfect reliability score of 100 out of 100.Toyota had three other entries on the list, with the Prius Prime being in third place. The Prius Prime had a reliability score of 93, and in fourth place was the regular Prius. The regular Prius had a reliability score of 91.
The last Toyota on the list was the Highlander, which came in at eighth place. It had a reliability score of 86, and that's not the only good thing about the Highlander. Its overall score was 88, which made it tied for the best car overall on this list. This isn't too surprising, since the Highlander is regarded as having few drawbacks.

Other Asian automakers have a lot of the most reliable vehicles of 2022

Other Asian automakers dominated the rest of the list. The Kia Niro EV was in second place, with a reliability score of 95. The Niro's overall score of 88 also means that it's tied with the Highlander for being the best car on the list.
Mazda had two entries on this list, with the MX-5 Miata coming in at sixth place thanks to its reliability score of 88. The CX-9 was in 10th place, with a reliability score of 85.
The Honda Insight was in seventh place with its reliability score of 87, and the Subaru Crosstrek was in ninth place with its reliability score of 85. None of these results were particularly surprising since Honda, Mazda, Subaru, and Kia are all well-known for making reliable cars.
Cadillac has one of the most reliable vehicles too

The only car that wasn't made by an Asian automaker was made by Cadillac, and it's the XT5. It came in at fifth place thanks to its reliability score of 89. This also means that the XT5 was more reliable than the Honda, the Subaru, and the Mazdas that were on the list.
While the XT5 is the most reliable car made by an American automaker, Cadillac as a brand isn't far behind in terms of brand reliability. Cadillac is currently the third most reliable American automaker, right behind Chevrolet and Buick.
The XT5 is also a pretty good car, as its overall score was 82. The only downside is that the XT5 is a luxury SUV, so its $44,000 starting price tag isn't going to be cheap.
