What’s it like to be a
billionaire fashion mogul
and have $300 million dollars of disposable income? Ask Ralph Lauren.
The car connoisseur’s collection has some of the rarest and most expensive cars you can find. Well, actually you may not find them because they’re so rare. Ralph believes cars are like art, and a fraction of his collection was even displayed at the Louvre in 2011.
With a net worth of $7.3 billion, what kind of modern and vintage cars does Ralph Lauren have sitting in his mysterious garage?

Not too expensive, but still expensive

Ralph Lauren’s outrageous stash of one-of-a-kind, limited edition vehicles are housed in a secret garage in Westchester County, New York.
The fashion icon actually owns twoFerrari Testarossas. The Type F110 12-cylinder mid-engine sports car was originally produced by Ferrari. According to
The Richest
, “The Testarossa started manufacturing in 1984 as the next creation after the Ferrari Berlinetta Boxer.”
Unfortunately, the car stopped production in 1996 and only 10,000 were made. The Ferrari Testarossa is close to a $140,000 investment.
Though not as expensive as his other cars, Lauren’s Lamborghini Reventón Roadster gives us Cybertruck vibes and was first released at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2007. An exclusive 20 models were sold to the public. The 210 mph mid-engine sports car goes for about $1,250,000.
The 1929 Bentley Blower is a “British car which is based on a
rolling chassis that was built by Bentley Motors
,” The Richest notes. Walter Owen Bentley altered the 3-liter engine to accommodate 4.4-liters. Expect to drop at least $2 million dollars for this historic racer.
The smooth and curvy Bugatti Veyron was developed by Volkswagen Group and Bugatti.
According to The Richest, “The car was conceptualized and manufactured in Molsheim, France by the French automobile manufacturer of Bugatti. It was then named after the famous racing driver at the time, Pierre Veyron.”
With 1,000 hp, this supercar can ramp up to 100 mph in just 2.5 seconds. You’ll only need to lay down $3.4 million to have a Bugatti Veyron of your own.

Plug-in hybrids that caught Ralph’s eye

A lover of McLarens, Ralph also owns a McLaren P1, a modern plug-in hybrid supercar. The globally recognized designer originally bought the car with the full intention of driving it on the road. With 900 hp and a top speed of 217 mph, the speed demon can jump from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds.
Ralph Lauren also owns two Porsche 918 Spyders. According to
HotCars
, “This plug-in hybrid is absolutely packed with potent performance, powered by a 4.6-liter V-8 engine creating 599 hp and two electric motors adding 282 hp.”
When combined, the hypercar cranks out a whopping 875 hp with a top speed of 217 mph. It takes only 2.5 seconds for the Porsche 918 Spyder to reach 60 mph.

‘We can’t believe how expensive’ cars

Ralph’s love for bizarre cars is evident with his $18 million Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic, which he calls the most beautiful car in the world. “Although it has a low stance, it has a powerful engine and has a lightweight construction with about 123 mph top speed and has an influential teardrop body,” The Richest notes. Word on the street is that this 3.3-liter supercharged model is the first supercar ever made and the ultimate Bugatti car.
Built by Mercedes-Benz, the 1930 Mercedes-Benz SSK Count Trossi is a roadster with extreme performance. SSK stands for Super Sport Kurtz, aka Super Sport Short in English. A true sports car for its era, the vehicle starts around $15 million and can get as pricey as $20 million. Think of how many houses you could buy!
Ralph’s 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO is a highly sought-after vehicle for classic car collectors. It doesn’t get much rarer and more expensive than this. The award-winning race car was produced from 1962 to 1964, but Enzo Ferrari had to personally approve your purchase. While the Ferrari originally cost $18,000, today you can find it at auction for up to $60 million.
