background
Toyota Supra is an amazing sports car. Though definitely not the fastest and most adventurous within the J29
Toyota
Supra series, it is a delightful everyday machine you can compare to the Toyota Tacoma
Besides unique features, the car presents excellent value to consumers and is among the cheapest to cover with
insurance.
So, Toyota is keen on ensuring its existence is inevitable. The latest 2023 Supra is beyond comprehension. Let’s find out why.

The 2023 Toyota Supra is alleged to have a BMW engine

Toyota is not new at using the Bavarian giant BMW engines. In fact, most Supra cars designed after 2019 have BMW engines. So, what is unique about the 2023's model?
Well, to say the least, leaked images detailing the new machine's features allegedly hinted that it might come with a BMW S58 engine. This massive turbocharged straight-six engine is barely a decade old since it debuted, which means the car will perform better than current models.
Presently, Supra models are equipped with the standard 2-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine roaring out 255 horsepower. But on top of the spectrum, customers have been enjoying the smooth ride of 3.0-liter I-6 engines.
With the demand for more powerful engines on the rise,
Motor1
claims that variants of BMW S58 engines in the 2023 Toyota Supra will be churning out 530 horsepower.
Helping the car reach amazing speeds will be an exclusive dual-clutch transmission that allows drivers to shift gear at lightning speed without feeling the impact of shear force.
Judging from the specs, there is no doubt the new engine clears rumors about Toyota producing the long-wished-for manual transmission cars.
Frankly,
Edmunds
disclosed that Toyota has plans to develop an all-manual wing to refresh the sports car design. This is a journey back to its heyday, and along the way, it will ferry up manual-only Gr86 and Corolla cars. How successful the company will be is a matter of time.
However, with simplicity and comfortability still in play, Toyota will continue equipping the new cars with the current 2-liter automatic transmission engines.

Exterior and interior designs of the Toyota Supra

News about the 2023 Toyota Supra's design features are still cloudy, but one thing is clear. The vehicle is aerodynamically designed to cut through the air at blinding speeds.
In a teaser photo trending online, the manually equipped Supras will get a new red-colored badge. The badge is to differentiate them from automatic ones.
In another photo, experts were keen to discern the upcoming GR Supra Matte White Edition's matte avalanche white coat from others. But, as expected, the interior of all Supras is standardized with classy leather upholsteries and up-to-date dashboards.
High tech features include emergency pedestrian detecting brakes, lane keep assistance, and wireless charging amenities. On top of that, blind-spot monitors and rain-sensing automatic wipers will ensure the car is well-prepared for sophisticated road challenges.

When is the 2023 Toyota Supra roaring out?

The 2023 Toyota Supra’s production is expected to start in late July or August, with the first manual Supras hitting the market probably by October this year. Unfortunately, it may take a while before Americans receive their first shipment, as the first batch will head to Japan.
If the 2023 Supra lives to be what experts dub a "revolutionary car," it will threaten the existence of the Nissan Z, its arch-rival.
