A look at some of the most memorable Jeep Easter eggs

Dale Howard Auto Center
has recently done an overview of some of the more surprising or memorable Jeep Easter eggs that people have been sharing on platforms such as TikTok
One of the Jeep Easter eggs to go viral on TikTok is a spider saying "Ciao baby" hidden in the fuel tank. That spider got a great deal of attention after TikTok user @jackiefoster posted a video of himself discussing the surprising discovery.
"Well, I couldn't find my Easter egg for the longest time, and one day I was pumping my gas," he says in the video. "I saw a spider coming at me, and I was like, 'Oh my god,' and then I realized it's my Easter egg."
Another fun animal Easter egg that can be found in many Jeeps is a gecko located underneath or close to the windshield wipers. This one is harder to miss than some of the other Easter eggs, thanks to its size. Nevertheless, if it's in an odd location, you may still struggle to notice it.
If you're more interested in Jeep-specific Easter eggs than in animals, you'll want to keep your eye out for hidden Jeep logos around your ride. There's a good chance you'll find one around your windshield, for example. The logo may also be visible on your rims. Keep your eyes peeled, and you're sure to spot it somewhere!

A history of Jeep Easter eggs

Those who discover the Easter eggs in their Jeeps often wonder how long the manufacturer has been including these fun additions in their vehicles. According to
Drive
, Jeep Easter eggs can be traced all the way back to 1996, when the '97 Wrangler TJ was introduced. That Wrangler came with the first Jeep Easter egg: a miniature seven-bar grille in the cowl.
How did that Easter egg end up in the fun yet reliable Wrangler? The story goes that it was first cooked up by designer Michael Santoro, who wanted to include an homage to Jeep's heritage while at the same time leaving his own distinct mark on the Wrangler. From there, as they say, the rest is history.
