background
Chevrolet
is a tried-and-true car brand that has been around for decades, ever since its founding in
Detroit, Michigan
, in 1911. Since the brand’s inception, Chevrolet has created a reputation for making some pretty fast cars.
Jerry

2020 Chevrolet Corvette C8

To begin this list, we simply have to start with the Corvette Z06 because it is Chevy’s fastest car on the market today.
The car has a mid-engine layout that reminds us of a European supercar, instead of the average fast, American muscle car. According to
HotCars
, that mid-level engine can reach up to 495 hp, and can get from 0 to 60 mph in an astounding 2.8 seconds.

2017 Chevrolet Corvette Z06

Before the 2020 Corvette C8, another Chevy Corvette—the 2017 Z06—held the title for fastest Chevy, and even today it’s still a close second place.
In fact prior to 2017, the Corvette Z06 was not only the fastest Chevy, but also the fastest car produced by all of General Motors.
MotorBiscuit
reports the Z06 has a 6.2-liter, supercharged V8 engine that supports 650 hp and can reach over 200 mph. It can get from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.95 seconds, just a tad slower than the C8.

2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1

2017 was clearly a good year for Chevy when it came to producing fast cars. The Camaro ZL1 actually utilizes the same engine that we see in the 2017 Corvette Z06—the 6.2-liter, supercharged V8 engine.
Drivers can ride in a six-speed manual or 10-speed automatic. This one reaches 0 to 60 in about 3.5 seconds, and has a top speed of roughly 195 mph.

2006 Chevrolet Corvette Z06

Although the 2017 version of this car already made the list, we have to give an honorable mention to the 2006 model of the Chevy Corvette Z06.
This car still makes the list of fastest Chevys, and is faster in general than a lot of other cars on the market, despite being over 15 years old. The LS7 engine in this car carries up to 505 hp, and can reach 60 mph in about 3.8 seconds.

2017 Camaro SS

Another 2017 vehicle makes the list, but this one is impressive for both its speed and price. Drivers can find the 2017 Camaro SS for around $30,000 today.
With an engine that supports 455 hp and 455 lb-ft of torque, while also having the power to go from 0 to 60 mph in 4.0 seconds, the Camaro SS is a great value for your money, despite being a few years older than some other muscle cars.

1967 Corvette Stingray 427

For our last fast Chevy car, let’s throw a
classic into the mix
. The 1967 Corvette Stingray 427 has a V8 engine that supports 435 hp—that’s incredible for the time period and still pretty impressive today. It can do the 0 to 60 mph drive in just 4.8 seconds, earning it a place on this list.
