first launched the Stinger
sports sedan in 2018, it sold 16,806 units. That’s not bad for a first-year launch, but sadly the brand has only experienced year-over-year sales losses since then. Just 13,517 Kia Stingers were sold in 2021, which is a 20% drop from its 2018 peak. According to a road report from Motor Authority

The 2022 Stinger replaced the standard 255-hp turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder with a more powerful 2.5-liter turbo-four. The new engine makes about 300 horsepower on its own, but buyers also have the option to upgrade to a 368-hp twin-turbo V-6.
The V6 gets a slight boost from 365 horsepower to 368 thanks to its variable exhaust system. Rear-wheel-drive comes standard, but all-wheel-drive is available if needed.
The styling was also updated to include new headlights, a new wheel design, larger exhaust tips, and a fully upgraded interior.
More standard safety features including automatic emergency braking, active lane control, automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control, rear parking sensors, and blind-spot monitors are now available with the refreshed model.
The 2022 Kia Stinger comes in three trim versions, the base GT-Line, the GT1 at $45,035, and the GT2 at $54,635.
The $2,300 Sun and Sound package includes a 720-watt Harmon Kardon 15-speaker sound system, a sunroof, and an 8-way power front passenger seat with 2-way lumbar support.
