Responses to the 2022 Nissan Rogue have been pretty positive, but
Consumer Reports
(CR) likes to be thorough, and a closer look at the
SUV
revealed a criticism most reviewers would miss—the center console’s air vents are too low to hit occupants where they want it.
Overall, CR gave the new Rogue a mediocre score of 64.

2022 Nissan Rogue—CR says it’s OK

CR doesn’t hand out good grades as easily as other magazines. While vehicles rarely score under 6 out of 10 on sites like Car and Driver or Kelley Blue Book, it’s not uncommon to see the same models get less than 50% from the non-profit magazine.
The 2022 Nissan Rogue didn’t fare that badly, but its report card won’t be posted on anyone’s fridge. The aforementioned vent problem brought the score down, but it wasn’t the only issue mentioned.
CR says the crossover’s center console also impedes the driver’s right knee space.  The cabin also suffers from too much noise, and an odd vibration can be felt while the vehicle idles.
Beyond the cabin comfort and engine, CR also noted that the Rogue does not have a camera-based direct driver monitoring system, something the magazine believes is safer than the lane-departure warning the crossover currently uses.

Things CR liked about the 2022 Nissan Rogue

While CR found a few things to complain about, its review of the 2022 Nissan Rogue wasn’t all negative. Overall, the experience of driving the small SUV was said to be pleasant.
The Rogue’s continuously variable transmission (CVT) was praised for its similar feeling to a traditional automatic, along with its ability to work in sync with the turbo that comes with the new 201-hp three-cylinder engine. The ability to manually shift through eight ratios was also a plus.
CR also enjoyed the crossover’s firm and responsive handling, saying that little tilt is felt while taking curves, though it was noted that the tight suspension will be more enjoyable for the driver than the other passengers.
Inside wasn’t all bad, either. CR liked that Nissan opted for more physical buttons and knobs than the touchscreen controls making their way into most vehicles.

Cost to own the 2022 Nissan Rogue

Another way the 2022 Nissan Rogue draws a shrug from critics and consumers is its price. With a starting price of just under $29,000, the SUV isn’t the most expensive model available, but it isn’t the cheapest either.
