suggests both the 2022 Chevrolet Blazer and the 2022 Ford Edge as more reliable alternatives to the 4Runner. Compared to the 4Runner, the Blazer has a lower overall MSRP range of around $33,400 to $44,000, slightly better overall mpg of 19, and better handling, performance, acceleration, and transmission. The interior is also quiet, and the controls are easy to use.
The Blazer also sports an all-wheel drive V6 engine, but with a ride that feels smoother and steadier than the clunky 4Runner. There is also a slightly more frugal option to drive a 2.0-liter four-cylinder Blazer.
The Ford Edge comes in at a lower price range as well of $37,145 - $45,945, and also boasts the best mpg of them all at 22 overall. The handling is comparatively agile and steady, and the driving experience makes it feel like a truly upscale vehicle.
The Edge comes standard with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine, but can be upgraded to a twin-turbo 2.7-liter V6 engine that brings some serious power to this sporty ride. What the Edge lacks in a showy exterior, it makes up for with a limber and luxurious ride experience.
