Crossover vehicles have been all the rage for some time now, and Citroen has another one ready to debut. That’s right; the C4 X is here, with an aggressive body styling and streamlined design that’s sure to turn heads. We’re still not quite sure whether this fastback takes cues from old-school muscle cars, or whether it’s an attempt from Citroen to make something entirely new, but one thing is for certain: we love this

The Citroen C4 X

Motor1
seems to agree: the styling on the Citroen C4 X is entirely unique. Citroen posits the car is a “unique alternative” to hatchbacks or sedans, of which it seems to embody a bit of both. We aren’t complaining, though. There’s even an EV option, which has a battery range of 224 miles.

What does the Citroen C4 X have for a powertrain?

The Citroen C4 X comes in both an electric and ICE powertrains. Drivers will have to make a tough choice between the two of them.
Autoblog
stresses that, on one hand, the EV option offers slightly more power (136 hp vs. 130 hp), but has a measly 200-plus mile range that could get frustrating in heavy traffic or during longer road trips. However, it’s possible that if it’s only being used for a commuter car, the electric Citroen C4 X could be a great option.
Specs on the new C4 X’s gas mileage are hard to pin down, but drivers can likely expect a range somewhere in the high 40-50-mile range, matching the previous generations of the C4.

Is the Citroen C4 X a good buy?

Dodge fans can consider Citroen a long-lost French cousin, since Stellantis, as the parent company, owns both. But the Citroen C4 X will feel anything but foreign to American drivers. That’s mostly thanks to a stellar interior, showcasing a 10-inch touchscreen display, and a sport mode that boosts performance. What we’re most attracted to, though, is its absolutely insane charging speed. Despite having a measly battery range, the Citroen C4 X can utilize a fast-charger to go from 0-80% capacity in just 30 minutes.
