Following a muted 2020 and 2021, the Chicago Auto Show returned to its full glory this year, with Ford,
Chevrolet
, and other major brands taking the opportunity to showcase their latest models. While there were plenty of sports cars, sedans, and EVs to check out, the new lineup of SUVs got us most excited.
Read on to learn about three of our favorites, including the 2023 Toyota Sequoia, the 2023 Chevy Blazer, and the newest version of the much-hyped Ford Bronco.

While there are plenty of SUVs planned for release this year, the 2023 Toyota Sequoia and 2023 Chevy Blazer are two of the most interesting. As explained by
Cars.com
, the third-generation Sequoia is the first full-size SUV to be made in Toyota’s San Antonio plant. It will continue to be based on the Tundra platform, but the 2023 model has several major improvements.
Most notably, it now boasts a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 hybrid engine, with more horsepower (437) and torque (583 lb-ft) than previous model years. It has also significantly increased its towing capacity (from 7,400 lb to 9,000 lb), and the interior has received an impressive overhaul too.
The Chevrolet Blazer has also received a facelift, with a redesigned grille, headlights, and wheels for 2023. It has clearly been inspired by the Camaro, and with a 308-hp V-6 engine available, this mid-size crossover packs a punch.
However, the demands of family life have not been forgotten. The interior comes with a larger infotainment screen, and the Chevy Safety Assist package is now standard.
Both cars are expected to hit dealerships this summer, with the Sequoia starting in the low $50,000 range, and the Blazer starting around $34,000.

The 2022 Ford Bronco Everglades

MORE: Removing the Ford Bronco’s Doors Is Easier Than You Think
Technically it’s a 2022 model, but the Ford Bronco Everglades got a lot of people talking at the Chicago Auto Show.
As you’d expect, there are a lot of similarities with existing Bronco models, but it builds on the Sasquatch package to make an even more off-road-ready vehicle.
The 2022 Bronco Everglades features an air-intake snorkel, enabling it to ford water over 3 feet deep without drawing water into the engine. It also looks cool, with special graphics on the front fenders, and rugged square wheel arches.
Starting at $54,495, the 2022 Ford Bronco Everglades is the second most expensive Bronco behind the Raptor. Ford will begin taking orders in March and customer delivery begins this summer.
