BMW
M4 CSL 3.0 is probably not going to be anyone's entry-level beamer. No, this wild-looking, high-performing, incredibly exclusive ride is for the true BMW connoisseur. And even then, it’s for the connoisseur who likes to make a splash.
The limited order of 50 cars is to cap off the 50th anniversary of the M series and will probably turn more heads than someone jumping out of a birthday cake.

A BMW, painted in BMWs

In the words of
Car and Driver
, “If you aren't already taken aback by BMW's controversially large grilles, wait until you see that face on a car that resembles a full-sleeve tattoo created in the pit of a rock festival at 3 a.m.”
The car is painted in a collage of M series models from over the last 50 years, but there’s so much packed under the hood, the question is whether anyone will be able to see the colorful blur as it whizzes by.

Packed with pure power

The limited series comes with the 3.0 liter in line-six engine and has 600 horsepower crammed in there. While it has shed the eight-speed automatic transmission for the six-speed manual gearbox, it has still retained the rear-wheel drive configuration.
Previous versions of the M CSLs have posted times of 3.6 seconds from 0-60 mph, but there’s reason to believe that this model will hum even faster.
While BMW is traditionally known as a luxury car brand, the M Series has always proven to be their speedy line that tracks more like a sports car than soft, luxurious ride.

A dizzying price

So how much for the extremely limited edition, wildly painted, horsepower packed 50th anniversary M series 3.0 CSL? Buckle up. BMW is asking $800,000 making it, by far, the most expensive beamer ever made.
So yes, this one is only for the true, and deep-pocketed, BMW enthusiast.
