There’s nothing quite like an old-school car, which is why many car lovers have a special place in their hearts for vehicles from the ‘80s. The decade produced some seriously cool and totally unique vehicles, many of which are still available for purchase today.
If you’re
looking to buy
an ‘80s car to add to your garage look no further than this list, where we’ve compiled the best ‘80s cars you can still buy today.

Ford Mustang

When it comes to the best ‘80s cars, it doesn’t get much better than the classic Ford Mustang. The Mustang was a staple on the streets throughout all of the 80s’, known for its multiple powerful engine options with high horsepower and beautiful sound.
These cars were produced in mass, so it isn’t tricky to find one available for purchase today, and prices for one in working condition are pretty reasonable.

Porsche 959 Komfort

If you’re looking for an ‘80s car that’s a little more exclusive (and a lot more expensive),
DuPont Registry
recommends the 1987 Porsche 959 Komfort.
While the prices for this car will most likely run into the six figures, the Porsche 959 Komfort redefined the luxury sports car market at the time.
Although this car is now over thirty years old, the interior materials are still quality and there’s no beating the iconic body style. Not to mention, it’s one of the fastest cars of the ‘80s.

Ford Taurus SHO

While these cars have been described as “modified or trashed”,
Motor Trend
still recommends the Ford Taurus SHO as one of the best ‘80s cars available today. The Taurus SHO features a high-revving V6 engine that can get from 0 to 60mph in just 6.6 seconds.
That run time is impressive today, but was especially impressive in the 80s’. While it will be hard to find a Ford Taurus SHO in perfect condition today, we think it’s possible and if not, it’s the perfect challenge for someone who loves
restoring cars

Jeep Cherokee

This offroading superstar was just as cool in the ‘80s as it is today. Those who love Jeeps are loyal to the car brand, and there’s no better addition to a car collector’s garage than a Jeep Cherokee from the ‘80s.
It’s important to keep in mind that Jeeps are made for offroading and adventuring, so it’s likely any used Jeep you find will have its fair share of scratches and dents, but we think that adds to the charm.
Plus, the engine is likely still strong, which means you can use the car yourself to create your own adventures.

Buick Estate Wagon

To round out the list, it was only right to include a wagon-style car with a quick V8 engine.
While Buick made some great sports cars in the ‘80s, the Estate Wagon was a staple vehicle for large families in the ‘80s because they have towing capability, room for eight people, and tons of cargo space.
A Buick Estate Wagon shouldn’t be too hard to come by today, and the prices are reasonable. And to really add to the ‘80s character, these wagons include the iconic rear-facing third row, where kids can look out the rearview window instead of the front, plus a rear swinging gate.
It truly doesn’t get more ‘80s than that!
