Sports Utility Vehicles (or
SUVs
) are great for transporting both people and cargo, making them a fantastic option for a family car. Plus, in most cases, SUVs have good safety ratings and solid fuel economy.
If you have a particularly large family, or are just looking for that extra space, a seven-seater SUV complete with a third row might be the perfect
car to purchase
for you.

2022 Chevrolet Suburban

If you’re looking for a brand new SUV with plenty of room, the latest model of the Chevrolet Suburban is a great option.
Autowise
reports this car is a solid option for drivers looking for generous legroom for their second and third row passengers.
Not to mention, it has space for cargo too, totaling about 145 cubic feet when the third row is folded back. There’s six trims available for purchase, with the base model starting just under $53,000. For a brand new model, with this much space, that’s a pretty sweet deal.

2022 Cadillac Escalade

For drivers who want a more luxury new model the 2022 Cadillac Escalade fits the bill. But, you have to be willing to spend a bit more, as this seven-seater SUV sells at a price range between $76,000 and $104,000, depending on the trim level.
Car Buzz
rated the 2022 Cadillac Escalade their best seven-seater SUV of the year, giving it 9.1 out of 10 possible points. This car gets serious power—420 hp to be exact—and is equipped with a luxurious interior and high-tech features.

2022 Genesis GV80

Although this car was Genesis’ first attempt at creating a luxury, large SUV, the car brand definitely didn’t miss the mark.
If you want a seven-seater option with this SUV, you have to choose the Advanced+ trim, which comes with a 3.5-liter, V6 engine and all wheel drive, but it’s well-worth the splurge. For around $68,000 drivers get a powerful engine with 375 hp, solid fuel economy, and luxury features like adjustable lights and advanced climate control.

2022 Toyota Highlander Hybrid

A big car fit for seven passengers, like the Toyota Highlander, utilizing a hybrid engine is an impressive feat, and one we don’t see out of too many SUVs on the road today.
Because of the hybrid engine, this SUV has the best fuel economy on the list bar far, getting 36 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway. Power comes in at about 186 hp, which is a bit low for an SUV but understandable for a hybrid model. The 2022 Toyota Highlander Hybrid comes in at just under $40,000 for the base model, and maxes out around $50,000 for the highest trim.
If you frequently transport people long distances or want a greener SUV in general, this one is perfect.

2023 Land Rover Discovery

Good things come to those who wait, and the 2023 Land Rover Discovery is no exception to that rule. Although this car isn’t on the roads yet, Land Rover promises the 2023 Discovery will be the most versatile seven-seater SUV when it does debut.
To get seven seats in this car, drivers need to opt-in to the third row, which doesn’t leave a ton of cargo space. But, with luxury finishes and features, three trim options to choose from, impressive towing capabilities, and predicted great fuel economy, the Land Rover Discovery makes up for the limited trunk space. The price point on this model will be around $57,000.
