compared the Clarity to the Accord, it was a pretty straight comparison. They are both mid-size sedans that seat five people, and they have similar dimensions. In fact, the Clarity is 73.9 inches wide compared to the Accord's 73.3 inches wide.With the same seating capacity and type, they naturally share a similar Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price. This is where the Clarity and the Accord start to diverge.
The 2022 Honda Accord comes with two engine options, and the standard engine is a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine. You can upgrade to a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder.
The 1.5-liter engine comes with a continuously variable automatic transmission, and the 2.0 liter comes with a 10-speed automatic. These give the Accord an impressive amount of power.
The Honda Clarity also has a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, and you can also get an Inline-4 engine. Both types of engines come with a continuously variable transmission.
Their EPA ratings reflect these differences, as the Clarity get 44 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway. The pure electric range of 47 miles helps immensely. The Accord's combined EPA rating is 47 mpg, with a 22 to 30 mpg for the city, and a 32 to 38 mpg for the highway.
The Honda Accord has plenty of safety features such as automatic emergency braking, automatic high-beam headlights, and lane-keeping assist. The multimedia system isn't bad either, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto coming standard.
The Honda Clarity also has a nice eight-inch multimedia display that includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Bluetooth connectivity and dual-zone automatic climate control are included.

Which car makes a better drive?
If you want to start with pure comfort, then the Honda Clarity does give you more head and leg room than the Accord, and it has 15.5 feet of cargo space. It generally feels roomier and more comfortable than the Accord, especially when the Accord's low rear seat is taken into account.
The Honda Accord also has a bigger turning radius. It doesn't make backing out of a packed parking lot or making sudden turns easy.
On the other hand, the Accord has 192 to 252 horsepower, while the Clarity has only 103 to 212 horsepower. The Accord also has higher torque and so can get more power to the wheels than the Clarity, which makes it a speedier ride.
