According to CR’s findings, almost 15% of 2019 Honda Passport owners have reported issues with the infotainment screen, and the SUV’s troubles don’t end there.

explains that the 2019 Pilot’s main reliability problem is its infotainment system, with 14.3% of owners reporting problems.Complaints include the display screen freezing, back up sensors failing, and incompatibility with Android Auto/Apple CarPlay. Most of these issues can only be resolved by replacing the whole system.
You might think infotainment is a luxury and not critical to a car’s overall reliability, but considering the 2019 model is only 3 years old, a 14.3% failure rate leaves a lot to be desired.
Even more damning, the 2019 Pilot has been recalled 6 times by NHTSA for defects, including a hood that opens while driving, fuel pump failures, engine stalls, overcured tires, and incomplete body welding.
Other owners report problems with AC leaking refrigerant almost as soon as the car leaves the dealership.
Considering all of its faults, it’s hard to argue with Consumer Reports’ verdict that the 2019 Honda Passport is an unreliable vehicle.

Despite all of the aforementioned trouble spots, the 2019 Honda Passport is a decent SUV.
Consumer Reports’ road test shows it has superb acceleration, transmission, and braking. The 280 hp V6 engine is described as “potent-yet-refined,” and the interior is quiet and comfortable.
