Absolutely Stunning, Pagani's Zonda HP Barchetta

Designed for and by Horacio Pagani, the Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta is as slick and performative as supercars come.

Pagani is in the next level of rarified air when it comes to
supercars
. Lambos and Ferraris and McLarens oh my, but a Zonda HP Barchetta by Pagani is exclusive (3 made in total) and expensive ($15 million) beyond belief.
Designed by and for the owner,  Horacio Pagani himself, no stone was left unturned, or expense spared, in developing the Zonda HP Barchetta, a car that combines a keen sense of style with major performance.
But is it worth the $15 million that’s being asked or is this merely a game of exclusive showboating?

What’s under the hood?

Like all
Pagani’s
of late, the engine was developed alongside the masterminds at AMG. It’s an impressive V12, 6.0 liter that boasts 789 horsepower. It’s paired with a six-speed manual gearbox for a classic Italiano supercar feel.
Those horses are run through 811 lb-ft of torque to give the Zonda HP an acceleration that will make you throw your head back with giddy, gleeful, speed. All of it is packed into a carbon fiber body that weighs a mere 1,250 kg. I mean, a $15 million supercar better buy something, right!?

Sublime design

A beautiful car without substance is little more than an empty shell. But why go through the effort of making something a performance-oriented supercar and not take some major style points as well?
The wheels of the Zonda HP are made with forged aluminum and have different color inlays left and right. The left wheels come with a gold inlay while the right wheels come in blue.
In addition to the head-turning wheels, the fixed rear wing and roof scoop give it functional aero with added design.
But the roof scoop is confusing because the roof is more or less non-existent.
There is no folding hardtop or canvas get-up, but rather a short, wraparound wind-screen that partially protrudes in between the driver and passenger seat. It’s essentially a Joe Cool-looking convertible.
As for the interior? The seats are made of a buttery blue and cream combination with a bit of tartan tossed into the mix. The steering wheel even encompasses a touch of wood because if there’s anything true about Pagani’s eye for design, it’s all in the details!
