It looks like Brabus has done it again. It's taken a
Mercedes
G Wagon, one of the German company's luxury SUVs, and created something truly extraordinary.
While we previously wrote about Brabus producing what we deemed "the craziest G-Wagon ever" with the 800 Adventure XLP Superblack, the company has now outdone itself again with its G Wagon Rocket Edition. This is some next-level creation that's really gotten people talking.

What is Brabus?

If you're like many people, you may be scratching your head, wondering, what's Brabus? That's because many people haven't ever heard of the company.
The truth is that Brabus is not actually a car manufacturer in the traditional sense. Rather, it focuses on making after-market modifications to other vehicles--typically luxury vehicles.
Brabus is based in Germany and has been in the business of modifying cars for over four decades, having been founded in 1977.
Brabus focuses most of its creative energies on making modifications to vehicles produced by Mercedes-Benz, including its off-roading G-class vehicles. Brabus mods have a couple of signature traits, which include greatly enhanced power and a striking black paint design.

The lowdown on the Brabus G Wagon 900 Rocket Edition

Brabus's Rocket vehicles all have one thing in common: absurdly powerful acceleration and speed. Of course, the Brabus G Wagon Rocket Edition is no exception to that rule.
All of that power, in fact, leads
Motor1
to call the vehicle "the most extreme G63 we've ever seen."  Brabus's Rocket Edition of this G Wagon comes with a whopping 900 hp and 922 lb. ft. of torque, along with an increased displacement to 4.5 L.
In fact, Brabus considers the power on this SUV enough to make it equivalent to a "thoroughbred sports car."
This vehicle would certainly give many sports cars a run for their money. It can go from 0 to 100 km/h (or 0 to 62 mph) in only 3.7 seconds, and it has an electronically-governed top speed of 174 mph.
(This limit is imposed to protect the tires, which Brabus says wouldn't be able to sustain higher speeds.)
Of course, the power behind this Brabus creation comes with a hefty price tag. To get your hands on one of the only 25 Brabus G Wagon 900 Rocket Editions being produced, you'll have to shell out $681,600.
By comparison, a standard Mercedes-AMG G63 starts at "only" $160,000, according to

This Brabus G Wagon also offers some awesome visual upgrades

MORE:
Of course, Brabus vehicles aren't only known for their improved performance. They also generally offer increased visual appeal. And this is nowhere more evident than on this G-Wagon 900 Rocket Edition.
While we can't cover all of the upgrades included on this Brabus creation, we'd be remiss if we didn't mention the rear spoiler and what Motor1 calls the "aggressive" new bumpers. In addition, size is clearly the name of the game with this mod. Just look at its striking hood scoop and the enormous 24-in. wheels that come standard with the vehicle.
Then there's the interior, where Brabus's famed attention to detail is evident, thanks to the vehicle's fine black leather seats and its carbon fiber decorations.
