Subaru BRZ

The Subaru BRZ is a great option for a budget-friendly, fast, sports car that is also reliable. In fact, the BRZ takes the number one spot on
HotCar’s
list of
fast cars
that are more reliable than a Toyota Prius.
This sporty Subaru comes with a 2-liter, boxer-four engine that can make 200 hp and 151 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed manual transmission is standard, but drivers can upgrade to a six-speed automatic transmission if they choose. The engine can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 5.9 seconds, ensuring this car is definitely fast.

Honda S2000

Although this car was discontinued in 2009, the Honda S2000 still can be purchased as a fast and reliable used car. The latest version of the Honda S2000 has a 2.2-liter, four-cylinder inline engine that produces 237 hp, 162 lb-ft of torque and an acceleration time of 6.1 seconds to get from 0 to 60 mph.
Plus, drivers enjoy a six-speed manual transmission. The Honda S2000 is an oldie, but a goodie.

Mazda3 Turbo

The Mazda3 Turbo is fast, modern, and reliable.
MotorBiscuit
reports that not only are Mazdas known for being very safe cars, but they’re also very reliable. The Mazda3 Turbo adds performance to this resume with a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that carries 250 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque.
On top of that, the Mazda3 Turbo comes standard with a six-speed automatic transmission and a traction-enhancing all wheel drive system. The combination of the engine, transmission and drive system all result in a 0 to 60 mph acceleration time of 5.6 seconds in the Mazda3 Turbo.

Honda Civic Si

When it comes to speed, you might not think of Honda, but another Honda car definitely deserves a spot on this list of fast and reliable cars.
The Civic Si is the latest addition to Honda’s Civic lineup, and it comes equipped with a stellar engine. Under the hood of the Honda Civic Si drivers will find a 1.5-liter, turbocharged i4 engine. It carries 200 hp and 192 lb-ft of torque, plus the car comes with a six-speed automatic transmission powering the front wheels.
This sporty Honda is guaranteed to be reliable, and packs a punch with its engine.

Lexus ES

The Lexus ES
is the most luxurious car to make this list of fast and reliable cars. While it’s a bit more expensive, it’s just as fast and reliable as others and perfect for drivers who want a little something extra in addition to those two qualifiers. It comes with a 2.5-liter i4 engine that produces 215hp, plus a CVT transmission to power the front wheels.
With a recent interior and exterior redesign, the Lexus ES is a great choice for a fast and reliable car.
