11 seasons and counting. It’s certainly a fact that Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee is one of the most popular shows that Jerry Seinfeld has been a part of since leaving the sitcom world in the ‘90s. As a host, it’s his job to pair each guest he talks to with an equally fantastic, memorable car—one that suits the meandering and often introspective turns each episode takes. We’ve been hard at work rounding up our favorites, so here are our top four favorite rides from Season 2 of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.

#1: 1969 Lamborghini P400S Miura

Guest: Chris Rock
S2, E6: “Kids Need Bullying”
Just the name Lamborghini is synonymous with celebrity status—that’s why this luxury car tops our list. Even better, the ‘69 Lambo P400S Miura is a classic sports car, hailing from the days when Lamborghini ruled the roads.
Hagerty
explains that although it only had a 350-hp and a classic five-speed gearbox, the Miura is still the bar against which modern Lambos are measured.
To make this car even more of a big deal, the Italian supercar company only produced 470 Lamborghini P400 models, one of which was featured on Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. A mint-condition P400S is worth around 1.5 million dollars—a toy for the rich and famous.

#2: 1995 Volvo 960 Station Wagon

Guest: David Letterman
S2, E2: “I Like Kettlecorn”
We get it: you weren’t expecting a Volvo station wagon to come in at #2 on our list of the best rides from Season 2 of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. But we have our reasons.
As described by
AutoTrader
(and episode 2 of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee), David Letterman had a custom Volvo built with a racing engine, gifted to him by none other than Paul Newman. It was one of about 1,000 that were built. The ‘95 Volvo 960 had a V8 engine that pushes nearly 400-hp, creating an incredibly fast and powerful station wagon indeed. The car was a beautiful combination of functionality and over-the-top American muscle blended together.

#3: 1969 Jaguar XKE Series II E-Type Convertible

Guest: Sarah Silverman
S2, E1: “I’m Going to Change Your Life Forever”
Like most of Jaguar’s prized vehicles, the XKE Series II E-Type Convertible is gorgeous, incredibly British, and very expensive.
Schmitt
points out that only 4,286 were built in the year 1969, making the ‘69 XKE one of the most valuable vehicles Jaguar has ever built.
Like many older European cars, its small engine (compared to big-block American muscle cars of the same time period) was perfectly suited to a zippy, torquey transmission—perfect for winding through the English countryside. The XKE stands out for its time period, offering air conditioning, chrome wire wheels, power brakes, and reclining seats. God save the queen.

#4: 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS

Guest: Seth Meyers
S2, E5: “Really?!”
No luxury car list is complete without at least mentioning the Porsche 911—and Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee features one of the very best models Porsche has produced. The 1973 911 Carrera RS is a work of art, combining a ‘70s-specific body design with classical European roots. This vehicle is even rarer than the Jaguar XKE.
As described by
Bring a Trailer
, the ‘73 911 Carrera RS features a sporty 2.7-liter flat-six engine, a five-speed manual transmission, and garners more attention from other drivers than any owner would know what to do with.
And instead of drum brakes (more common on vehicles of the time), the ‘73 Carrera was built stock with disc brakes, helping drivers to improve their stopping time and cornering ability. Because let’s face it: no one buys a Porsche to drive it slowly.
