2023 cars with a need for speed

The Ferrari Purosangue will be the brand’s first mass-produced four-door car and SUV. We expect the 2023 car to compete with the likes of the Bentley Bentayga Speed, Audi RSQ8, BMW X6M, Lamborghini Urus, Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT, and the Aston Martin DBX.
However, a naturally aspirated V12 under the hood is what makes this Porsche stand out from the pack. You’ll likely also be able to purchase it with a twin-turbo V6 or V12 engine as well, but why would you?
You may recall the Chevy Corvette C8 being the first production Corvette to feature a mid-engine layout, launching it into supercar status with a 6.2-liter V8 engine. The Chevrolet Corvette Z06 features a 5.5-liter naturally aspirated flat-plane V8 with 670 hp. Its 460 lb-ft of torque are sent to the rear wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic.
While the Alfa Romeo may not be known for its build quality or reliability, the Stelvio and the Giulia have helped repair the brand’s image. The stylish won’t be as large as the Stelvio, but it will feature hybrid drivetrains to rival the likes of crossovers like the Audi Q3, BMW X1, and the Mercedes-Benz GLA.
Buyers will have a series of four-cylinder engines to choose from, including turbocharged and hybridized options. Front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive will also be available.
The BMW M4 CSL will be more track-focused than the standard car, and offer bespoke aero bits and less weight overall. The pricey M4 CSL will sport the standard version’s 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged straight-six, but with a whopping 543 hp.
Lighter by 240 pounds, the 2023 car features a new hood, rear spoiler, front splitter, and racing side skirts. Only 1,000 models will be produced, with a steep starting price of $140,000.

Zippy and reliable 2023 cars

First introduced in 2002, the Mazda 6 is in its third generation. The 2023 car will feature a fresh redesign with a straight six-engine and a rear-wheel drive platform. Though some reports claim the rear-wheel drive layout has been nixed, either way, the vehicle will make a legit competitor to the BMW 3 Series.
The Acura Integra is based on the Honda Civic Si and will replace the ILX. The 2023 car is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine with 200 hp and 192 lb-ft of torque.
The engine will be mated to a continuously variable transmission with standard front-wheel drive. While all-wheel drive isn’t an option at this point, drivers can still opt for a six-speed manual transmission.
The next-generation Kia Niro has been reimaged with plenty of versatility and interior space. The upscale cabin features lots of innovative tech and delivers a luxury experience. The 2023 car is inspired by the HabaNiro concept and is powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine and a 32-kW electric motor.
The Niro pumps out 139 combined horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. A plug-in hybrid model will also be available with the same engine, but with a 62-kW electric motor for a combined 180 hp. Both vehicles will be fitted with a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. All electric Kia Niros will deliver an estimated 253-mile range.

Fancy and high-class 2023 cars

The Mercedes-Benz EQE is an exciting expansion in the brand’s electrified lineup. The futuristic 2023 car sports the same platform as the EQS and will be available in AMG EQE and EQE 350 models. If you’re a fan of the EQE 350, you’ll receive a single rear-mounted motor pumping out 288 hp and 391 lb-ft of torque.
On the other hand, the EQE AMG will utilize two electric motors, one up front and one on the rear axle. The setup will pump out 617 hp and 701 lb-ft of torque, with a 90.6-kWh lithium-ion battery in both vehicles.
The Maserati Grecale is a stunning midsize SUV available in GT, Modena, and Trofeo trims. The base engine features a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 paired with a mild-hybrid system. The belt starter generator and e-Booster help deliver 296 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque.
If you’re craving more horses, the midrange Modena will feature a boosted version of the turbo-four, resulting in 325 hp. At the top of the range, the Trofeo will sport a robust 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 with 523 hp and 457 lb-ft of torque. All-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission both come standard.
