In 2022, many of us are looking to leave everything from 2020-2021 in the dust. Here is a list of 2022’s
fastest rides
in the world to help you leave the pandemic years in the rearview mirror. There are even a few American-made whips that made the list.

1. Bugatti Chiron Super Sport

According to
TopSpeed
, the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport is currently the fastest proven car in the world, clocking a mind-melting 304 MPH in August.
Packing in 1,578 horsepower into its quad-turbo, 8.0 liter, W-16 engine, this savage-looking speed demon is a sight to behold.
Its aesthetic is futuristic but with that classic Bugatti grille that gives it a timeless element as well. For a cool $3.8 million, one of the 30 limited-made cars is all yours!

2. SSC Tuatara

The drama surrounding the SSC Tuatara’s top speed is a storyline out of a supercar soap opera.
The company claimed it could hit 331 MPH, making it the fastest car in the world by a long shot; however, shortly after posting a video of the time trial, viewers began pointing out suspicious discrepancies. Uh-oh.
The company went for it again, but this time only hit 295 MPH. But hey, it is the fastest American-made car and is yours for $1.6 million.

3. Koenigsegg Agera RS

Trying to stay on the top of the list as the world’s fastest car is tough work. There’s always someone looking to take you down as was the case with the Agera RS which held the record for a little less than two years starting in November 2017.
Clocking in at 277.9 MPH positions it third on the list, but it still holds the benchmark for the fastest 0-200 MPH as well as best braking from 200-0 MPH. The 5.0 liter, V-8 goes for $2.5 million.

4. Hennessey Venom GT

If the Venom GT looks a bit like a Lotus to you, well, you’re not crazy. Based on the Lotus Exige, the Venom packs 1,244 horsepower into its 7.0 liter, twin-turbo V8 engine.
It began production in 2011 and finished its run in 2017 when the last of 13 units were produced.
In 2014 it hit the top speed of 270.4 MPH which would have qualified for the Guinness record if it weren’t for a few small technicalities like its limited production and its run being done in only one direction.
It’s also the most affordable car on our list coming in at a mere $1.2 million.

5. Bugatti Veyron Super Sport

And we’re back to the French powerhouse for our 5th spot on the list. The Veyron may be 17 years old at this point, but it’s still one of the fastest and fiercest cars ever made.
The Veyron Super Sport edition rocketed to the Guinness record in 2010 with a top speed of 267.8 MPH. Like every Bugatti, it’s also in a different stratosphere in terms of price; a nice $2.7 million for this bad boy.
