The primary one is that both vehicles have many of the same trims available the GT AWD and RWD, R/T RWD, SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody Jailbreak RWD, Hellcat Redeye Widebody RWD, Hellcat Widebody RWD, SXT AWD and RWD.
The 2022 Dodge Challenger appears to have more trims available than the 2022 Dodge Charger including the R/T Scat Pack RWD, R/T Scat Pack Widebody RWD, SRT Hellcat RWD, ST Hellcat Redeye, and SRT Super Stock.
The 2022 Dodge Charger does however have the Scat Pack RWD and Scat Pack Widebody RWD.

So the specs will vary based on the trim, but for the sake of comparison, we’ll be looking at the standard GT trim with AWD. The EPA classifies the Challenger as a midsize car and the Charger as a large car.
Both the 2022 Dodge Challenger and the 2022 Dodge charger have a 3.6-liter regular unleaded V6 engine. The Challenger gets 303 hp while the Charger gets 300 hp. Both vehicles get 18 mpg city and 27 mpg highway.

The Charger is roomier and given its EPA classification when compared with the Challenger that makes sense. There’s more driver, passenger, and trunk/cargo space in general with the 2022 Dodge Charger making it more of a comfortable ride.

They write that the 2022 Dodge Challenger is, “retro cool, muscle car meat with supercar power, all the V-8 options”. The cons of the vehicle were that it’s inefficient, does not come with active standard safety features, and our personal favorite, it’s an “endangered species”.
Regarding the 2022 Dodge Charger, they note that it’s an extremely powerful refined ride with decent handling. However, the cons include mediocre safety ratings, active safety technology not coming standard, and that it might have “too much swagger?”.
While some of these comments might seem to just be funny, they do bring up valid points, especially the fact that this might be the end of the line for Dodge’s gasoline-powered muscle cars.
