It's hard to say if there is ever a definitively bad year for the
Chevy
Corvette. Those interested in buying a used model have plenty of great model years to choose from, like the
2015 Corvette
. One model that should not be overlooked, though, is the 2010 Corvette.
According to
Kelley Blue Book
, the 2010 Corvette features impressive V8 power and that distinct Corvette style. The 2010 model is also one to watch out for because it was the first year for a few Corvette trim packages. Plus, now that it is more than a decade old, you might be able to find one for a great bargain.

What was new for the 2010 Corvette?

In a lot of ways, the base 2010 Corvette was similar in overall design to the model years directly before it. However, this simply falls under the umbrella of not fixing things that aren't broken. Side airbags were newly standardized in the 2010 model, though.
Kelley Blue Book notes that the 2010 Corvette is noteworthy for its handling improvements compared to previous models.
Also, 2010 was an important year for the Corvette because it was the first year for the Grand Sport trim. Just as the name indicates, the Grand Sport was intended to be an even sportier trim of the Corvette. This meant higher horsepower and a few design changes that improved aerodynamics and gave off an overall more aggressive style.

This Corvette lived up to its muscle car roots

Part of the Corvette experience is the iconic roar of the engine, and the 2010 model carries on this tradition with a 6.2-liter, 430-horsepower V8. Though this car might be a bit loud for some, it’s perfect for those that love a nice purr without being too loud to drive regularly or for long distances.
Inside the car, the two-seater is comfortable, and it can be even more comfortable if you can find a model with a leather seat package.
Driving the 2010 Corvette is just as fun as driving any other model year of the muscle car. Its V8 has quick acceleration, and it has responsive handling. However, fans of other sports car brands might not approve of how it takes tight turns.

A great thing about selling a used Corvette from any year is that it still has a high value. However, if you're buying a used Corvette, this means you might still expect to pay somewhat high prices. This is true for the 2010 Corvette.
When the 2010 Corvette first came out, it had a suggested retail price of about $50,000. The highest trim level, the ZR1 could go for more than $100,000. Thankfully, a base 2010 Corvette costs a lot less today, but it still isn't cheap.
Today, Kelley Blue Book estimates that a used 2010 Corvette costs around $28,390, a similar price to other sports cars from the period. This amount will naturally vary based on the trim you choose.
