Utah’s Alternative Fuel Grant Program issues grants of up to $2,500 to applicants to convert traditional vehicles into vehicles that run on alternative power sources, including electricity.
Roughly 90% of the energy consumed from transportation each year in the US comes from petroleum. In fact, the transportation sector is actually responsible for 29% of the nation’s greenhouse gas emissions, making it the leading source of emissions.
To encourage more drivers to choose vehicles that run on alternative forms of power, many states offer incentives to drivers who purchase—or convert—electric vehicles. These incentives help make electric and alternative fuel vehicles (AFVs) accessible to more people.
Offers vary depending on what state you’re in, so the car insurance comparison and broker app Jerry has compiled a guide to alternative fuel vehicle incentives in Utah.

How much can I save with the Utah electric vehicle incentive?
