Drivers in Pennsylvania who purchase alternative fuel vehicles—including electric, plug-in hybrid electric, and hydrogen and/or fuel cell vehicles—are eligible for rebates up to $2,000.
About 90% of the energy consumed by transportation in the United States comes from petroleum. All that energy consumption makes the transportation sector the leading source of greenhouse gas emissions, at 29% of the nation’s overall emissions.
To encourage more drivers to choose environmentally-friendly electric vehicles, most states offer incentives to anyone who purchases an electric car. Rebates like those in Pennsylvania help make electric vehicles accessible to more drivers and reduce overall emissions.
Because offers vary by state, car insurance comparison and broker app Jerry has compiled a guide to Pennsylvania’s electric vehicle incentives. Take a look at what you could save by purchasing an alternative fuel vehicle!

How much can I save with Pennsylvania’s electric vehicle incentive?

Pennsylvania’s Alternative Fuel Vehicle Rebate Program offers rebates of up to $1,000 to drivers who purchase alternative fuel vehicles. The exact amount of the rebate depends on the type of vehicle:
