  • Notice of Satisfaction of Security Interest or Lien Holder's Affidavit (Form T-4) for any satisfied liens on the title
  • Current and valid Georgia driver’s license or ID card
  • The damaged title, if available
  • Replacement title fee
If there is a lien on the title that has been released, you will need an original Form T-4 Lien or Security Interest for each lienholder or security interest holder recorded on the original title that has now been satisfied or paid.

  • Do record new or unsatisfied security interest information in the order perfected
  • Any lien or security interest recorded on a Georgia title for ten years from the title’s issue date shall be considered satisfied and a release will not be required
  • A new release, if the lien or security interest is satisfied but still recorded on the state’s title records because you didn’t apply for a clear title
Once you complete the application form, you can submit your application in person to your County Tag Office.

How long does it take to get a replacement title in Georgia?
